ewimed Switzerland AG takes over Nufer Medical AG as of 1.1.2024 to strengthen competitiveness and innovation
We are pleased to inform you that Nufer Medical AG, a leading 🇨🇭 manufacturer and trading partner in the field of medical technology and biomedical testing equipment, will be legally merged into ewimed Switzerland AG as of 1 January 2024. Ewimed with its subsidiaries in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark and Hungary is the largest provider of drainage systems for treatment of pleural effusion and ascites all across Europe.
To remain competitive and innovative in the highly regulated medical technology environment, Mr Egon Wiest, sole owner of Nufer Medical AG since 2014 and co-owner of the ewimed Group and its Swedish subsidiary Ankron Holding AB, decided to combine the strengths of the two companies Nufer Medical AG and ewimed Switzerland AG.
We want to emphasize that the new company will operate under the name ewimed Switzerland AG and will transfer its headquarters from Neuhausen am Rheinfall to Bern.
For our valued customers and business partners, nothing will change apart from the company name and address. The contact persons will remain the same and all the employees will be taken over by ewimed and will remain available for you.
Mrs. Renate Marti (ewimed Switzerland AG) and Mr. Daniel Urfer (Nufer Medical AG) will share the management responsibility of the new ewimed Switzerland AG and further expand sales activities in Switzerland.

All offers issued by Nufer Medical AG will be taken over and will of course remain valid.
