The ewimed gravity reservoir can be connected to the safety valve of a drainova® ArgentiC or PleurX™ catheter via the insertion pin on the connection tube.
The dressing material set is required for sterile and clean performance of temporary drainage and dressing changes.
After medical prescription and instruction by ewimed Switzerland AG, the patient may also use the ewimed drainage set at home for temporary drainage of pleural effusions or ascites.

Functions and advantages
- The insertion pin on the connecting tube is connected to the safety valve of the PleurX™ or drainova® ArgentiC catheter
- Misconnection, in accordance with DIN EN ISO 80369-1, is ruled out by the key-lock plug connection
- The drainage volume and the drainage interval can be adjusted using the pinch clamp on the connection hose
- Temporary drainage is safe, simple and efficient
- Drainage takes 15 - 30 minutes
