ewimed Switzerland AG strengthens competitiveness and innovation and merges with Nufer Medical AG on January 1, 2024 to form ewimed Switzerland AG
We are pleased to inform you that Nufer Medical AG, a leading Swiss manufacturer and trading partner in the fields of medical technology and biomedical test devices, will be legally acquired by ewimed Switzerland AG as of January 1, 2024. ewimed, with its locations in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Sweden, Denmark and Hungary, is one of Europe’s largest providers of drainage systems for the treatment of pleural effusions and ascites.
In order to remain competitive and innovative in the highly regulated medical technology environment, Mr. Egon Wiest, sole owner of Nufer Medical AG since 2014 and co-owner of the ewimed Group and its Swedish subsidiary Ankron Holding AB, has decided to combine the strengths of the two companies Nufer Medical AG and ewimed Switzerland AG.
We would like to emphasize that the new company will operate under the name ewimed Switzerland AG and will relocate its headquarters from Neuhausen am Rheinfall to Bern.
For our customers and business partners, nothing will change apart from the company name and address. Your contacts at both companies will remain the same, as all employees will be kept on and will be in direct contact with you as usual.
Ms. Renate Marti (ewimed Switzerland AG) and Mr. Daniel Urfer (Nufer Medical AG) will share the management of the new ewimed Switzerland AG and continue to build up sales activities in Switzerland.
